REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

 

The City of St Louis Department of Health is implementing a Tobacco Control and Prevention Program and is seeking proposals from persons and/or organizations with successful evidence-based experience to reduce tobacco initiation, increase tobacco cessation, reduce exposure to second hand smoke, and promote tobacco-free norms and political support for tobacco control policies.  Requests for Proposals (RFPs) are available in four key programming areas and multiple contracts are anticipated for each:

  • School-based programs;
  • Community-based programs;
  • Consultation for targeted populations, e.g. African American, youth, LGBT, immigrant/refugee; and
  • Program evaluation

 

Requests for Proposals may be obtained beginning January 25, 2010 from the City of St. Louis Department of Health, Children’s Environmental Health, LaTisha Jefferson, 1520 Market Street-Suite 4038, St. Louis MO 63103, (314) 657-1456.  Proposals may also be downloaded from the City of St. Louis website at http://stlouis.missouri.org.

Information regarding pre-proposal conferences is listed in each RFP and attendance is recommended.  The deadline for submitting proposals is February 19, 2010 by 4:30 P.M. at the address referenced above.  An original and five (5) copies of the proposal must be submitted by the deadline.  The Department of Health reserves the right to reject any or all responses with or without cause.
